Needs vs. Wants
Yesterday was rough. My girls gave me hell. I had a migraine & found myself overwhelmed with all the things I had to do & all the things I wanted to do.
I simply made a list of my wants & needs. I started crossing off what didn't add as much value to my life or wasn't in line with my goal. Even if I saw it as a "need" when I planned it.
More movement leads to better sleep
I finally got the opportunity to go for a late-night walk & bike ride. This allowed me to have a better quality of sleep. 🌙
Deep, sound sleep helps to boost immune function, support cardiac health, & control stress and anxiety. If you want better sleep - move more. Plus, following through & maximizing your time tends to give you a new confidence to repeat it again the next day.
Maximize your moments
Sometimes that's all I feel like I have. Just a moment. But if that's all I have then I'm going to utilize it. I ended up exceeding the goal. I appreciate my accountability buddy helping me redirect my energy. He is amazing at squeezing things in when I have little confidence we'll have time for it.
Wellness can't wait
Sometimes life's obstacles cause us to think about why we can't when all our body is telling us is why we MUST.
Wellness waits for no one! If we don't make time for it now we'll be forced to make time for illness later. I am CLEARLY too much of a control freak for that. 😉 We're praying for everyone's peace, strength & patience during this season. I know I'm going to need it - with a little grace. 🙌🏾
